While my post dealt with social injustice rather than domestic violence, I also hope that women are held to the same standard as men when it comes to physical abuse. The issue you have raised is a real one.

We teach our children it is never okay to hit anyone no matter how you are feeling and we should hold all people, male and female, to the same standard when they become adults.

I know women who get let off the hook for being violent because they are women and I’m just as disgusted by them as I am by men who treat women like a lesser species.
