Return of the Sneezes
Allergy season is upon us again! Three simple tips for survival.
One moment you are thrilled because the snow is melting, there are tiny buds on the trees, and the sun actually feels warm when it shines, and in the very next moment you are sneezing uncontrollably, your nose is running, and your eyes itch so bad you can’t stop rubbing them.
With spring comes seasonal allergies as well as the frustration that you cannot enjoy the warmer weather to the fullest. I have suffered from allergies my entire life, and it feels like I have tried every remedy to bring relief. But there are three that work better than any others, and they are simple, too.
Blow Your Nose Often
Spring is in the air which means that pollen, dust, and other irritants are as well. Each time you take a deep breath, those allergens end up in your body and they give you a bad case of the sniffles. Blowing your nose often during allergy season clears those irritants from your system and keeps them from hanging out in your sinuses to cause you more problems. Carry tissues in your pocket, and blow your nose frequently to keep your nose nice and clean. Keep some hand sanitizer with you, too, to clean up your hands after you blow your nose.
