Motherhood Is So Complicated

Motherhood is a roller coaster of moments and emotions in which you summit then plummet and climb up again. One minute you’re crying happy tears because your perfect angel woke up and crawled into bed with you to loop her little arms around your neck, nuzzle her nose against yours, and tell you that you are the best mother in the whole world and that she loves you so much. Not twenty minutes later, however, you’re on the verge of an ugly cry because your little angel has donned her demon costume for a meltdown in the kitchen because you put her juice in the wrong color cup at breakfast thusly ruining her life forever and sending you into an existential tailspin about every parenting decision you’ve ever made and whether you’re cut out for the Hood that is Mother because it is the toughest hood any woman will ever know.

I told you, motherhood is so complicated.

But you know what isn’t complicated?

The love.
